Yes! Our laser hair removal works on all skin tones. Some hair removal methods are limited to light skin tones, but here at Elizabeth's our laser is precise enough to target the hair follicle, and eliminate hair at the root without damaging your skin. Even the darkest of skin tones can be treated.

Electrolysis destroys the hair follicle, preventing future growth. Once a follicle is treated successfully, the hair will not grow back. However, multiple sessions are needed to target all hairs in the growth cycle.

Laser hair removal, on the other hand, is considered long-term hair reduction rather than permanent removal. It significantly reduces hair growth, but some hair may eventually regrow, often finer and lighter. Maintenance treatments may be needed, especially in hormonal areas.

Shaving is encouraged! We actually recommend shaving the day before or the day of your treatment. Your skin should be in its natural state—free from sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanners. Please arrive with clean skin, avoiding lotions or makeup before your session.

Treatments are very quick, you can do them during lunch your lunch break! For example, a lip or underarm treatment can be done in less than 10 minutes! Other parts of the body will vary. 

Yes! If you have a tattoo, you can still get laser hair removal but not directly over the tattoo. The same goes with removed tattoos. During treatment, the laser targets the pigment in your hair follicle to safely and effectively eliminate your hair at the root. However, the laser can’t tell the difference between ink pigment and hair follicle pigment. So if treated over, the ink pigment could scatter and result in a burn as it tries to escape the skin, making it very important to disclose tattoos.

Laser hair removal provides long-lasting results, unlike waxing, shaving, or even depilatories, which only offer temporary solutions. While waxing can be quite painful, electrolysis & laser hair removal feels more like a quick pinch - and we've never had a client stop treatments due to discomfort. Once you complete your laser treatments, you are done for good. Unlink other methods that require ongoing maintenance for years, laser hair removal saves you both time and money in the long run.
